Work of the Clinical Senate

The primary focus of the Clinical Senate is to develop a sustainable, educated workforce across the range of the foot-health economy from support workforce through to consultant level in both medicine and surgery. The work plan reflects the overarching strategic plan and the current priorities and strategies of Government relating to health, education and policy. Fundamental to the development of this work is the support of undergraduate and pre-registration education, working with providers to support the podiatrists of the future to be able to meet the differing demands for podiatry creating leaders across all sectors in the 21st Century.

Its purpose is to devise strategies on all matters relating to the pre and post-qualification education, clinical and professional practice of podiatrists and support grades.
