The Royal College of Podiatry is governed by its Articles and By-Laws, which serve as its architectural framework.
The Articles of Association
The Articles are the constitution of the College and provide a broad framework for the establishment of the College. They are a public document and contain general details about the College, its operation and other matters that are required by law. The College’s Articles may be changed only by Special Resolution at a General Meeting of the Voting Members of the College.
The By-laws
The By-Laws of the College are not a public document and must be consistent with the Articles. They contain the rules and procedures for the internal functioning of the College and are like an operating manual that governs the day-to-day work of the company. By-Laws may be amended by a decision taken at a meeting of Council.
