Branches
Branches listen to and represent your interests within the College. With a great source of support and learning in your local area. A network to other members and a place where you can share ideas, support and encouragement.
Council
The Council is the Royal College of Podiatry's Board of Directors and is its strategic body. It has 14 members elected by the Voting Members of the College. Council meets several times a year.
Specialist Advisory Groups
If you work in a specific area of expertise within the profession, then you can join one of our specialist advisory groups. These are groups of likeminded clinicians working in the same field working to advise the College and its members. These groups also host their own events.

As a member of the College, you have access to a wide range of opportunities to have your say and to share your views to help shape the future of podiatry and its progression. From joining the members' forum to speaking at conference, these opportunities can be a hugely rewarding within the profession and your career. Members can also be involved in publications such as the College’s Professional Membership Magazine to being a guest blogger.

The Members' Forum
The Members’ Forum takes place every two years; designed to give our members an opportunity to feedback directly to the College. Raising issues and talking about the things that matter most to them about the profession and the organisation. Free member listing on Find a Podiatrist
Members working in private practice can have a free practice listing on the College website and NHS website (previously NHS Choices). This allows potential patients to find their nearest podiatrist from a list of our members.
How to help others in your community
Mentoring
Our online mentoring platform creates a space to share knowledge, skills, tools and guidance to support you. Whether you want to be a mentor, a mentee, or both. Mentoring aims to help members with their professional development.
Volunteering
As a member you have access to a wide range of volunteering opportunities. Being a volunteer can be a hugely rewarding thing to do. Members can be involved in their local branch, provide career talks or provide podiatry support.

Charity collaborations
Your opportunity to work with a number of charities in order to provide podiatry services and expertise supporting those who are fundraising in sporting events or by assisting those in the community who are most vulnerable.
The London Marathon
The London Marathon has more than 40,000 participants on the traditional course from Blackheath to The Mall completing the 26.2 miles on the course. Volunteers will assist with podiatry services to runners at the event.

Crisis
Qualified podiatrists are needed to assist Crisis at Christmas in the London area. Dates to attend are provided by the College yearly from October onwards. Volunteers will help to provide essential care to some of the most vulnerable in the community.
